INITIALIZATION STAGE
In the initialization stage we prepare and balance the epidermis in a personalized approach but following a precise routine which includes a thorough milk cleanse and exfoliation with Biologique Recherche's cult classic, Lotion P50. Lotion P50T promises a high-end facial in a bottle and reportedly makes up 50% of the company's sales if you can believe that!
As stated above, we begin with a deep cleanse. BR has a few different cleansers with their milk cleansers being the most popular! There are three different variations all suitable for different skin types.
Lait U will cleanse & moisturize a young skin instant with oily/acne-prone tendencies.
Lait E.V. would be suitable for a more mature client or a dehydrated skin instant in need of restoration and help maintaining the integrity of their lipid barrier. This will ultimately protect the skin from drying out all together.
Lait VIP O2 is an anti-pollution cleanser that purifies the skin of tiny polluting particles that are sometimes even smaller than the pores on the face. Your skin will be awakened with a fresh glow, perfect for all skin types but especially dull skin instants lacking radiance! Not necessarily suitable for acne prone skin instants.
Following your cleanse you will go in with Lotion P50T or Lotion P50 PIGM 400. Both will provide you with a gentle exfoliation while also purifying & regulating sebum production while also locking in moisture. We call this the acid in your routine. It cannot be used in conjunction with a retinol or any retinoids - this will damage the skin so it is best to alternate them if you do wish to use both(consulting with your esthetician or dermatologist may be wise). These lotions will mattify, hydrate and maintain the pH of the epidermis leaving your skin as clear as can be!
The two variations are targeted for different skin instants of course, P50T being suitable for the average client while Lotion P50 PIGM 400 targets pigmentation issues such as scarring, sun spots, and melasma.

In addition to the P50 family we have Lotion MC110 - P50 on steroids as we like to say. It is the only Biologique Recherche booster available for retail & is one of the best products for combating acne in addition to lifting and firming the skin. Irregularities will be smoothed with its plumping and repairing properties to leave your facial contour redefined and the skin toned and moisturized.
Lotion MC110 is great for those of you experiencing hormonal acne. Use it 10 days prior to your menstrual cycle.
Masquing follows your cleanse and exfoliation. A masque is the last product you will apply(if you wish) before the treatment stage of BR products.

TREATMENT STAGE
The treatment stage targets each issue and treats it in depth by incorporating products with the highest concentration of active ingredients, to “recondition” the epidermis and help promote regeneration.
Quintessential serums are the purest formulas of all in the Biologique Recherche range. They contain nothing but active ingredients, in the form of amino acids and short peptides. BR uses plant, biomarine and biotechnological extracts at very high concentrations – above 20% in most products.
They are designed to treat a variety of skin imbalances, hence why there are so many serums to choose from making your routine highly customizable and personalized.

Collagene Natif - firming
Collagene Marin - firming and moisturizing. Suitable for sensitive skin
Liposmose - reduces under eye puffiness
Oligo-Proteines Marines - energizing/brightening and reduces dark circles

Now that you've acquainted yourself with BR's serums you can see how easy it is to make your routine customizable. Even when it comes to masquing, mix and match or even add in a quintessential serum(ie: Masque Visolastine + combined with Colostrum for an extremely hydrating treatment).
Biologique Recherche's luxurious cremes are designed to complement the action of the sérums authentiques by making skin comfortable and protecting it against external aggressions. There are 10 different categories of BR cremes in order to target a related skin instant. The categories are:
With roughly 24 cremes and emulsions to choose from your routine becomes even more customizable. Having a couple cremes on hand that you can alternate between is very beneficial once you understand your skin instants. Choose whatever is suitable for your skin that day, week or month. If you're drier one week pick your more hydrating creme or if your skin is freaking out and pimples are popping up left and right try a sebo-regulating creme such as Creme Dermopurifiante. Every creme or emulsion belongs to its own category making it easy to specifically target the paired problem area(s).
A customized routine is what will be the most beneficial to you. Generic products are not customized to your skin type and therefore have the potential to cause your skin harm - the opposite of what we want. Throwing on all the acids, retinols, retinoids, etc. won't clear away your acne just like a basic moisturizer won't necessarily combat dehydration. Biologique Recherche cremes have very carefully considered formulations that are easy to apply and richly concentrated in active ingredients to give you healthy glowing skin!
One of the last steps in a Biologique Recherche routine is treating the eyes with one of the eye contour cremes:

Each contour stick has a cyro-stick attached to the end for easy application and a soothing massage to drain the eyes of any retaining fluid. This fluid can build up and later on cause dark circles, fine lines, wrinkles, etc. so it is best to be proactive when treating one of the first areas to age!
If you wish, the application of finishing serums is next and then of course, SPF! Both protect your skin and seal everything in so that you get the most out of your products. Don't do all that work just to throw it away by harming your skin with UV rays and any other environmental aggressors.
